The Ugly Omelet is a hidden jewel of the Johnny Appleseed region, located convieniently on Rte. 2A (Massachusetts Avenue) in Lunenburg - just over the Lunenburg/Fitchburg line. Though the name of this family-owned and run restaurant is The Ugly Omelet, the ingredients and service aren't. From homemade corn beef, roast beef, and veggie hash, to cookies and cream pancakes, and a lobster and asparagus omelet, these favorites and much more are served in big portions with a big smile. Breakfast and lunch specialties from "The Challenger" (4 pancakes, 4 eggs, 4 sausage, and 4 pieces of bacon) to Chef Seth Silver's handmade burgers, BBQ, prime rib, are served all day.
