Fitchburg Art Museum is North Worcester County's oldest and most treasured cultural institution, founded in 1925 through a bequest of artist and educator, Eleanor Norcross. Fourteen galleries house a diverse collection of American and European paintings, prints, drawings, ceramics and decorative arts as well as Greek, Roman, Asian and pre-Columbian antiquities. In addition, the Museum organizes temporary exhibitions of works from other museums, private collections, and emerging and established contemporary artists.

Sponsored by the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance this artist-run consortium features hand-made artistic creations including paintings, photographs, fused glass, textures, children’s literature, jewelry and other unique items. Special events and art show openings on First Thursday. Hours: 11am-4pm Thursday-Sunday. First Thursdays open until 8:00pm.

Theater at the Mount

In 30 years, TAM has presented over 250 plays and had more than 2000 different people involved in productions either onstage or backstage. An estimated 15,000 costumes have been designed and 800 different sets constructed with more than a half million people enjoying community theatre at its best. Located at MountWachusettCommunity College.

Stratton Players Theater

Established in 1925, Stratton Players is one of the oldest community theatre groups in the country, a non-profit organization that produces quality theatrical performances.
